New Offering! Dinner with a Doc

With all the conflicting information out there, it can be tiring to know what to do, much less how to do it?

  • How can I save time and money while making healthy meals?

  • How do I cook food that tastes great and is good for me?

  • Where can I find information that will help me do this?

Are you interested in discovering ways to both prevent and reverse common diseases that impact the quality of our own lives and the lives of the ones we love? These conditions include, but aren't limited to:

  • mental/brain health

  • cancer

  • autoimmune disease

  • diabetes

  • high cholesterol

  • high blood pressure

  • orthopedic concerns

Join us for a monthly interview series, Dinner with a Doc, hosted by local plant-based chef Dawn Hutchins, founder of VegeCooking, and Registered Dietitian Heather Borders, founder of Kailo Nutrition. Dinner with a Doc will pull together a group of like-minded people, passionate about reversing disease vs. treating symptoms.

This free event will take place every third Tuesday of the month from 6pm-7pm through Zoom. Local Jacksonville clinicians will share their tips and tricks to eating more whole, unprocessed foods and finding a health-supporting lifestyle that sticks. They'll offer their best time and money saving hacks for eating healthy, share some of their favorite local spots to dine out, and a sneak peek at their favorite dinner recipe!

These doctors both walk the walk and talk the talk, and are committed to incorporating nutrition into their practices.

Each month the discussion will focus on a different health topic and how to navigate the challenges of setting the foundation for behavior changes that stick.

The next interview is on Tuesday, March 15 with Dr. Megan Weigel of First Coast Integrative Medicine and you can register here: Dinner with a Doc - Megan Wegel, APRN. She will be talking about the impact nutrition has on Multiple Sclerosis.

You can find the full 2022 interview schedule here: Dinner With a Doc .
